Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino does not seem to be too keen on the FA Cup or the EFL Cup.

Earlier this week, Tottenham boss Pochettino suggested that he is not too concerned about winning the FA Cup or the EFL Cup this season.
As quoted by The Independent, the Argentine boss said that winning the Premier League or the Champions League is Spurs’ main priority.
Former Newcastle striker Shearer has suggested that that Pochettino is wrong not to give importance to the domestic cup competitions.

“When you haven’t won anything for so long, you have to take every competition seriously, whether it’s the League Cup, FA Cup, Champions League or Premier League,” Shearer told Coral.
“It was only last season that Spurs were in the Champions League and Mauricio Pochettino played a weakened team against Monaco that meant they went out at the group stage.
“If you’re Spurs or Liverpool, for example, you have to take these competitions seriously, these clubs desperately need to win some silverware.”
“It was all well and good Pochettino using Wigan as an example, but Wigan are in the record books for winning the FA Cup, and it’s the same with Porstmouth,” added Shearer.
“Of course both those clubs would like to be in the Premier League now, but they will still go down in history for being FA Cup winners, no one can take that away from them.”

Tottenham have a good team that can challenge for the Premier League title and can also progress to the last 16 of the Champions League this season.
Winning the FA Cup or the EFL Cup would be great for the North London outfit, but at the same time Pochettino has to be careful on how he uses his players and must not make them too tired for the final weeks of the 2017-18 campaign when they are still in the Premier League title race.
