Newcastle have got the better of Leicester 1-0 away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League.
Ayoze Perez scored the only goal of the match between the Foxes and the Magpies on 32 minutes.
Newcastle legend Shearer was following the match and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the win for the Magpies.
The former England international has also praised Perez for his goal that won Rafael Benitez’s all three points against the Foxes.
Former Newcastle defender Steve Howey has also taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the Magpies.
The win against Leicester on Friday evening means that Newcastle are now 13th in the Premier League table with 38 points from 34 matches.
The Magpies are as many as 10 points clear of third-from-bottom Cardiff City, who have played 32 games.
Newcastle do appear to be safe from relegation to the Championship.
