Andy Carroll has joined Newcastle United.

Alan Shearer and Steve Howey have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Newcastle United signing Andy Carroll on transfer deadline day.
Carroll was a free agent this summer following the former Liverpool striker’s departure from West Ham United at the end of last season.
The 30-year-old striker started his professional club football career at Newcastle, and on Thursday, the England international returned to the Magpies on a one-year contract.
Former Newcastle duo Shearer and Howey have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to Carroll moving to the Magpies.

Good signing for Newcastle United?
Carroll is a very good striker, but the problem with the Englishman has been his injury record and fitness.
The 30-year-old needs to be fit and available, and if that happens, then he will be a key player for Newcastle this season.
The Magpies needed a proven goalscorer this summer, and in Carroll they have signed a player who can find the net for Steve Bruce’s side.
