Ayoze Perez’s goal in the 65th minute proved to be the difference between the Magpies and the Hornets.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Newcastle had 42% of the possession, took 10 shots of which two were on target, and earned eight corners, according to BBC Sport.
The win against Watford means that Newcastle are out of the Premier League relegation zone.
The Magpies, though, are very much in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, but the win this afternoon will certainly have boosted their chances of puling away from the bottom three in the coming weeks.
Newcastle are back in action next Saturday when they take on Bournemouth at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.
