Alan Shearer and Osvaldo Ardiles reacted on Twitter to Tottenham’s 4-0 victory against Watford on Saturday.
Tottenham’s Dele Alli
Tottenham registered a flawless performance as they defeated Watford 4-0 in the Premier League at White Hart Lane.
With that victory, their sixth consecutive Premier League win, they kept up the pressure on leaders Chelsea who face Bournemouth in Saturday’s late kick off.
The visitors started brightly, but Dele Alli broke the deadlock with a sumptuous strike in the 33rd minute. From there onwards it was a one-way traffic, with Spurs taking control over the game.
Eric Dier scored from Son’s deflected cross to put Spurs 2-0 up. Son scored on either side of the break and killed any chance of Watford’s revival.
Alan Shearer, the Newcastle United legend and BBC Match of the Day pundit, shared his reaction on Twitter.
Former Spurs player, Ardiles, said that Harry Kane’s return to action is an added bonus for the team. He tweeted:
Spurs remain second in the Premier League, but they have a chance to close the gap with Chelsea, if the Blues drop points against Bournemouth.
