West Ham lost 2-3 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday.
Newcastle United legend turned football pundit, Alan Shearer, has taken to Twitter to comment on Harry Kane’s performance against West Ham.
Kane scored twice against the Hammers as Tottenham Hotspur earned a 3-2 victory over their London rivals.
With those two goals, Kane has taken his goal tally to four in the Premier League this season.
The England striker scored both of his goals in the first half and Christian Eriksen added another in the 60th minute to give a healthy 3-0 lead.
West Ham pulled one back through Javier Hernandez. After Serge Aurier was shown a second yellow card 20 minutes from time for a late tackle on Andy Carroll, the game really opened up.
Cheikhou Kouyate scored from a magnificent cross from Arthur Masuaku with three minutes left. However, Spurs held on to seal all three points.
Matthew Upson, former West Ham player, was commenting on the game for BBC Radio live 5. He said that Kane has got a “striker’s instinct”.
“Harry has that striker’s instinct,” said Upson to BBC Radio 5 Live (13:12 pm).
“Great afternoon for Harry Kane. He has done his job for Spurs – you can’t argue with that,” he added (14.18 pm).
With that victory, Spurs have earned nine points from their three away games. However, Kane admitted after the match that they need to improve on their home form.
“We know we have to improve our home form and we will be right up there. To get nine points from three away games is really good,” said Kane to BBC Sport.
