Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers have brought Allan McGregor to Ibrox, while Craig Gordon has been at Celtic since 2014.

Rangers have signed McGregor in the summer transfer window following the 36-year-old goalkeeper’s departure from Hull City at the end of last season.
The Scotland international started his professional club football career at Rangers, and was on the books of the Ibrox club from 1998 until 2012 before he moved to Turkish giants Besiktas.

Gordon has been on the books of Rangers’ bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic since 2014 and is one of the best goalkeepers in the Scottish Premiership.
Former Celtic and Scotland international goalkeeper Rough has suggested that Gordon is better than McGregor. The 66-year-old, though, has praised the new Rangers summer signing.
Rough told The Daily Record regarding the two goalkeepers’ fight for the number one spot in the Scotland team: “They are both terrific goalkeepers with vast experience.
“Craig missed a couple of games at the end of the season and sat out the South American tour – but I’d day he still has the edge as No.1. But it’s going to be a great battle. Allan will want to push him every step of the way.”
Rough added: “Allan has been brought back by Rangers because they will have seen how he has matured in the game during his time down south. He knows what the club are all about and he’s a born winner.”

Celtic will be aiming to win the Scottish Premiership title next season and will be favourites for the championship.
Rangers, though, will give Brendan Rodgers’s side a run for their money, especially with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard now in charge of the Gers.
