Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly want to sign Fernando Fonseca from FC Porto in the January transfer window.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic want to secure the services of Fonseca from Portuguese giants Porto this month.
It has been reported that the right-back could be available for £2 million, with Porto open to selling the 21-year-old.
According to the report, the Hoops see the youngster as a long-term replacement for Mikael Lustig.
Former Celtic goalkeeper Rough believes that Brendan Rodgers’ side are (reportedly) interested in the youngster due to his experience in Europe, and has also said that Anthony Ralston has a big future in the game.
Rough said on PLZ Soccer about Fonseca: ”I think he (Ralston) has got a big future in the game, but obviously maybe they just want somebody with more experience to play in European football.”

Ralston is only 20 years of age and has done quite well for the Celtic first team when he has been called into action.
The Scotland Under-21 international has made only a handful of first-team appearances for the Hoops so far in his career, and if Fonseca joined the Hoops in the January transfer window, then it is hard to see the youngster get too many games in the neat future.
