Could Alan Pardew be headed to Ibrox to take the Rangers manager job?

A flurry of bets have come in on Alan Pardew landing the Rangers manager job, according to Oddschecker.
Oddschecker report that 83 per cent of bets this morning on the vacant Rangers manager at Ibrox job have been on Pardew.
Pardew remains an outsider in the race, but his odds have been cut from 25/1 to 20/1 accordingly.

George Elek, Oddschecker spokesman, told HITC: “Alan Pardew has been linked with plenty of jobs since he left Crystal Palace, and a stint in Scotland could be the perfect opportunity to revive his career, just look at Brendan Rodgers.
“If he gets the job it will be bad news for a few big punters, as we’ve seen multiple three-figure bets on McInnes at odds shorten than evens.”
Pardew has been out of work since last December when he was fired by Crystal Palace after a poor run of results.
He has previous experience managing Newcastle United and West Ham.
Pardew also worked with Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers at Reading, and was invited to an Old Firm derby earlier this year as Rodgers’ guest.
Rangers fired Pedro Caixinha last month and are yet to name a successor. Derek McInnes and Alex McLeish are the current favourites.
