The West Bromwich Albion man has just agreed a contract extension with the club.

West Brom boss Alan Pardew spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, in the aftermath of the news that Chris Brunt has agreed a 12-month extension on his current deal with the club, and labelled the Northern Irishman as a ‘terrific servant’.
This season has been a particularly testing one for the Baggies, with relegation to the Championship looming large, but Brunt has been the model professional throughout turbulent times at the Hawthorns.

Brunt has chalked up seven assists in 22 appearances in all competitions for West Brom this season, and his experience will surely be vital to his club during their Premier League run-in.
Pardew raved about the quality and character of the 33-year-old, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star, hailing the midfielder as a ‘terrific servant’ to the Baggies:

“He’s been a terrific servant for this football club. I only took him off (for youngster Sam Field in the 82nd minute on Saturday) to get a bit more energy on the pitch and see if we could retrieve the situation. I thought he was very good (on Saturday).”
Brunt was at the centre of controversy last month, after he initiated a dressing room outburst in the aftermath of his side’s home defeat to Huddersfield Town.
It is exactly that kind of passion that West Brom need, however, if they are to have any chance of avoiding relegation to the Championship this season, and having a player like Brunt amongst their ranks will only help their cause of doing just that.
