West Bromwich Albion are set to use partnerships up-front for the rest of the campaign, after signing Daniel Sturridge.
West Brom have brought in Daniel Sturridge on loan from Liverpool until the end of the campaign, meaning their striking ranks have been strengthened.
The Baggies now have a lot of options up-top, with Sturridge joining Salomon Rondon and Jay Rodriguez at the Hawthorns.
And Pardew claims that he will now keep two strikers on the pitch at all times for West Brom.
“When you look at the strikers we’ve got, it would be ill perceived if I didn’t play with two strikers,” Pardew said.
“You’re going to see two strikers on the pitch from now until the end of the season.”
Pardew’s attacking comments could hardly sound more different to Tony Pulis.
While Pulis didn’t have Sturridge, one of the reasons why West Brom fans became so frustrated with him was his negative football.
Pulis did occasionally play with two up-front this season, but often he set his side out in a rigid 4-1-4-1 formation, with Rodriguez used as a winger.
Pardew will have to hope that West Brom’s new attacking style causes problem, as his side currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League table.
