West Bromwich Albion picked up another positive result in the Premier League as they drew at Goodison Park.
Salomon Rondon
After winning for the first time in the Premier League since August last weekend – as they beat Brighton 2-0 at The Hawthorns – West Brom would have been hoping to capitalise on Everton’s poor run of recent form and make it back-to-back positive results.

And it appeared that they may be about to do exactly that as they scored the opener inside seven minutes thanks to Jay Rodriguez, but the game turned sour for Rondon in the early stages of the second-half.
The Venezuelan was involved in a collision with James McCarthy which left the Toffees midfielder with a broken leg and left Rondon in tears. Everton would equalise later on, but the injury to McCarthy overshadowed the result.

But after the fixture, Pardew was full of praise for Rondon’s performance in the fixture.
“We certainly threatened the goal more. The keeper has had to make a couple of great saves. And then Salomon hits one at the end and you’re thinking ‘that’s the one, that’s in’. He’s so unfortunate to hit the bar.”
Rondon has arguably looked a lot brighter since Pardew arrived at the club, and that will give the Baggies boss a lot of confidence that the forward can score and help create the goals that will help West Brom get themselves out of trouble.
