Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has been very pleased with Jason Puncheon since taking charge.
Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says that Jason Puncheon has been the best player at the club since he arrived.
Pardew took over at Selhurst Park in January and has been able to improve the performance levels of many members of the Eagles’ squad.
The 54-year-old boss believes that Puncheon has been more consistent than anyone else, though, after moving into a more central position.
For Puncheon to earn such high praise from his manager helps to highlight just how good he has been, as there are many other members of the Palace side that have raised their game alongside him.
The likes of Glenn Murray, Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha have all been excellent since Pardew inherited the managerial reins, but Puncheon’s displays have been of the highest possible standard.
The former Southampton man seems very settled at Palace and his long-term future at the club was secured today.
Puncheon put pen to paper on a three-year contract extension and Pardew will be delighted with the attacking midfielder’s show of commitment.
