Alan Pardew was not impressed with the Selhurst Park faithful taunting Stoke City boss Mark Hughes.

Speaking to the London Evening Standard, Alan Pardew stated his belief that the Crystal Palace fans should not have aimed chants at under pressure Stoke City boss Mark Hughes.
Stoke would have headed into the current Premier League campaign with the ambition of finishing in the top half of the table once again, but the Potters have not exactly started on a positive note.
The Potters have claimed only one point from their first five matches of the season, and the recent 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Crystal Palace on Sunday meant that they are currently languishing in bottom place in the English top flight.

While Stoke have more than enough time to turn things around, manager Hughes has found himself under a bit of pressure due to the torrid start to the season.
The Palace fans certainly did not pass up the opportunity to make fun of the Welshman’s predicament during the clash at Selhurst Park on the weekend by chanting ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning’ at his direction.
Palace boss Pardew was not too impressed with the fans’ treatment of Hughes, though, and has gone on to back the former Manchester United midfielder to turn things around at the Bet365 Stadium in the coming weeks.

Pardew told the London Evening Standard, “This is an experienced manager (Hughes) with very, very good players. The media spotlight turns on to the manager when the results aren’t good.
“Mark will deal with that. I have no concerns for him because he’s terrific. He’s having a bit of down time, but he’ll be fine. I have heard those chants against me. I don’t think it’s right.”
Stoke square off against Hull City in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night, and the match will surely be seen as a ‘must win’ by Hughes.
