West Bromwich Albion are firmly rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

West Brom boss Alan Pardew addressed the media yesterday, ahead of his side’s vitally important clash with Leicester City tomorrow, and urged his players to understand their true worth, as quoted by the Express & Star.

The Baggies are currently in a whole world of trouble, and sit firmly rooted at the bottom of the Premier League table, eight points adrift of safety, having won only three league games all season long.

Pardew’s appointment as manager at the Hawthorns in November 2017 was expected to coincide with an upturn in form for West Brom, but that has so far failed to materialise, and they have won just once in the league since he took over.

The 56-year-old spoke to reporters yesterday, and urged his players to understand their true worth, whilst highlighting the need for them to take greater responsibility during the run-in, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“There’s got to be a little bit more taking on responsibility and understanding their true worth. Some players here don’t understand that they’re better and they need to deliver better performances that they can.”

Pardew’s side will welcome Leicester City to the Hawthorns tomorrow, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of avoiding relegation this season.
