West Bromwich Albion are currently sitting in a precarious position in the Premier League table.

New Baggies boss Alan Pardew spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, and offered high words of praise for his group of players at the Hawthorns, disclosing what the squad told him following his appointment as manager.
The Black Country outfit have been far from their best this season, and currently sit precariously in 17th position in the Premier League table, just three points clear of the drop zone.
Pardew certainly has his work cut-out at West Brom, if he is to achieve success, with the Baggies faithful demanding both results and an attractive brand of football – something that they were deprived of during Tony Pulis’ reign at the club.

The 56-year-old sat down for an exclusive interview with the Express & Star, and opened up on the initial meeting he shared with the West Brom players when he arrived at the club:

“We were okay on Saturday but we can do better. But it was a performance that had some hallmarks of where I want to be. You hear managers say this a lot but I can say with real truth and honesty that the group have said ‘come on we want to get going’ and to give them a route to get better. And that is what I’m hopefully going to do.”
Next up for Pardew’s men is a trip to rock bottom Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday, and with games against Liverpool and Manchester United immediately after that, three points at the Liberty Stadium will be an absolute must for the Baggies.
