Baggies boss Alan Pardew spoke to reporters ahead of his side’s clash with Liverpool at Anfield tonight, and highlighted how Gareth Barry’s absence will be a big blow for his team, as quoted by the Express & Star.
West Brom are currently in all sorts of trouble, and sit precariously in 18th position in the Premier League table, having taken just 13 points from their opening 16 league outings.
Pardew’s arrival at the Hawthorns was supposed to coincide with an immediate upturn in form for the Black Country outfit, but that has so far failed to materialise, with the 56-year-old guiding his side to just one point from his opening two matches in charge.
The former Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and West Ham United manager addressed the media during his pre-match press conference, and divulged a blow for his team, ahead fo their trip to Merseyside tonight, as quoted by the Express & Star:

“They do have weaknesses. It’s whether you can exploit them, but missing Gareth Barry for this particular game is a bit of a blow because it’s well suited to him.”
Things don’t get any easier for Pardew’s men after their trip to Liverpool tonight, with a home game against Manchester United on Sunday, and they will have to be at their very best in both matches, if they are to have any chance fo taking anything from them.
