The former West Bromwich Albion and current Wigan Athletic bosses could be in with a shout of the Ipswich Town position.
Former West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew and Wigan Athletic’s Paul Cook are among the favourites to succeed Mick McCarthy at Ipswich Town with Sky Bet.
Lincoln City’s Danny Cowley remains the frontrunner (7/4), although Pardew (3/1) and Cook (4/1) have climbed above Blackburn Rovers’ Tony Mowbray (6/1) and Shefki Kuqi (7/1) since the bookmaker opened the market before the Easter weekend.
Pardew was sacked by West Brom on Monday and could be replaced by McCarthy, who is the 5/2 favourite with Sky Bet.
The former only won one of his 18 Premier League games in charge at The Hawthorns, a run which looks destined to end in the Baggies’ relegation.
And Cook’s Wigan could follow West Brom and Ipswich into next season’s Championship, with the League One title still in their hands.
The Liverpudlian boss, who had a brief playing spell with Town’s rivals Norwich City, was also promoted with Portsmouth last season, but left for Wigan shortly afterwards.
