Tottenham Hotspur legend Alan Mullery has hit out at Christian Eriksen and urged the club to ‘get rid of him’.

Former midfielder Mullery also made a stunning claim by stating that Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t want the playmaker at the club.

A lot has been said about Eriksen over the course of the summer, as it remains to be seen whether he’ll still be at the club by Friday morning.

Whether Eriksen is still playing for Tottenham ahead of the new campaign or not, former Spurs man Mullery made it clear that he doesn’t want him there.

“He’s a good player, no doubt about that, but I’m disappointed in him,” Mullery told Love Sport Radio. “I think he’s a very good player, but I don’t think he’s done enough for Tottenham and I think Pochettino feels that way as well.

“Get rid of him. If I was the manager now I’d say if you want to go, we’ll get the money we want and good luck to you”.

Unlike previous transfer windows, a lot of eyes will be on Tottenham as they will now be hunting for players to add to their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Whilst Daniel Levy is a shrewd negotiator, one thing he can do is pull off some special deals for the club, and supporters will be hoping he works his magic on Thursday.

Whether or not they come off remains to be seen, but if they do then it’ll be a pretty remarkable window for the club as they bid to win a trophy this season.
