West Ham United are currently in 13th place in the Premier League table.
Alan Curbishley has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 21st December, that he expects West Ham United to strengthen in the January transfer window.
This season has not gone according to plan for West Ham so far, with the London side currently sitting in 13th place in the Premier League table.
There were fears that the Hammers could be dragged into a relegation battle, but two wins and a draw in their last three matches has taken them away from the drop zone.

And Curbishley feels that West Ham will be wanting to build on their current momentum by strengthening in the upcoming transfer window.
“They will strengthen in the window,” the former Hammers boss predicted. “I expect West Ham to do business in the transfer window.
“Perhaps they got caught out defensively, they didn’t bring in enough [last summer], and I think that’s where there priority will be if they can do any transfer window.”
West Ham have had to name a number of makeshift backlines throughout the campaign so far, with injury leaving Slaven Bilic short of options.

The Hammers have largely been linked with attacking additions prior to the January transfer window, though.
West Ham have failed to find a potent striker, and it is believed that a new forward is on Bilic’s wishlist.
West Ham are next in action on Boxing Day, when they take on struggling Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
