The 29-year-old was excellent during Tottenham’s draw with Arsenal at the weekend.
Alan Brazil has told The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast that was broadcast on talkSPORT on November 7th that he wants to see Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele deployed further up the field, while Harry Redknapp has hailed the Belgian’s form this season.
The 29-year-old has established himself as a key man for Mauricio Pochettino’s men over the last couple of campaigns, and proved his value to the team once again with a stunning display in the North London derby draw with Arsenal at the weekend.

But despite his man of the match performance at the Emirates, former Spurs striker Brazil has questioned whether Dembele is currently being deployed in the right position.
“I’d like to see him more forward,” he told talkSPORT.
“Wanyama and Dier, let them sit there but Dembele’s too good to be back there.”

Former Tottenham boss Redknapp largely echoed Brazil’s thoughts by explaining how impressed he has been by the midfielder lately.
“When he picks it up and runs with it, he’s so strong on the ball, he glides past people,” he also told The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT on November 7th.
“I think he’s a fantastic player so he was a great signing for Tottenham and they’ve missed him at the start of the year.”

As Brazil suggests, Spurs arguably have more than enough depth at the back to cope with Dembele adopting a role further up the field.
The defence has once again proved to be hugely influential for Tottenham this season – no team in the Premier League has conceded fewer goals than the six that Pochettino’s men have this term – while the likes of Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier provide that balance in midfield.
And if Pochettino can get the balance in midfield right, then Spurs surely have the quality to make sure that they are prominent players in the title race once again this year.
