Should Everton replace Ronald Koeman with Sam Allardyce, who last managed Crystal Palace in the Premier League?

Sam Allardyce, Manager of Crystal Palace looks on during the Premier League match between Manchester United and Crystal Palace at Old Trafford on May 21, 2017 in Manchester, England.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward Alan Brazil suggested ex-Newcastle United and West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce for the Everton managerial job on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 18, 2017).

Allardyce is without a managerial job at the moment, having left Premier League club Crystal Palace at the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

Ronald Koeman is currently in charge of Everton, but the former Southampton boss is under pressure at Goodison Park following a disappointing start to the season.

The Toffees are nowhere near challenging for a top-six finish in the Premier League this season as they were expected to.

Former Tottenham and Scotland international forward Brazil, who now works as presenter on talkSPORT, has suggested Allardyce for the Everton managerial job if Koeman goes.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman at a press conference at Goodison Park on July 10, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

“I am not trying to get Koeman the sack, but if they continue to go the way it is going, then eventually they will have to make a change, and I think that would be tempting for Sam,” said Brazil on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Wednesday morning (broadcast from 6am, October 18, 2017).

Allardyce is a very good manager and knows the Premier League inside out, but the former England national football team manager is not the right fit.

The former Newcastle boss is known for keeping teams up in the Premier League and takes a very direct approach in regard to footballing style.
