Alan Brazil said on talkSPORT (9:23am, November 6, 2020) that some Celtic fans are telling him that it is time for Neil Lennon to leave.
The former Scotland international forward, who now works as a presenter on talkSPORT and stated in The Sunday Post in July 2017 that he is a red-hot Celtic fan, made the claim following the Glasgow giants’ defeat in the Europa League on Thursday evening.
The Scottish Premiership club suffered a 4-1 loss to Sparta Prague at Celtic Park in Group H and are now at the bottom of the group with just a point from three matches.
Brazil said on talkSPORT (9:23am, November 6, 2020): “Celtic fans are sending me, you know, pals from school are texting me and saying, ‘What a shame, but no, it is clear. He has got to go. He has got to go’.
The Scotsman added: “Once he gets his full XI back and Edouard upfront is so important. For me, he is the best centre-forward in Scotland by a mile. If they can get him back and get the rest back, then Celtic will go on a run, but are they going to leave it too late? That’s the big question.”
Keeping faith in Neil Lennon
Celtic are not doing so well in the Scottish Premiership either, with bitter Old Firm rivals Rangers leading in the title race.
The football that the Hoops have played under Lennon has not been as good as the one the team played under Brendan Rodgers.
However, Lennon is a very good manager. It is just that the team are going through a bad spell at the moment, just like all sides do.
Celtic will return to action on Sunday when they take on Motherwell away from home in the Scottish Premiership.
