Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry is a Chelsea legend.
The former Ipswich Town and Manchester United forward – who now works as a presenter for talkSPORT – believes that Terry would be a good addition to Frank Lampard’s backroom staff at Chelsea.
Chelsea are on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Maurizio Sarri.
According to The Guardian, the Blues want to appoint Derby manager Lampard as their new manager.
Brazil wrote in The Sunday Post while giving his thoughts on Lampard to Chelsea speculation: “Then there’s the prospect of John Terry coming in, too.
“I’m not saying it would definitely happen, especially now Aston Villa, where he is assistant manager, have been promoted.
“But what a trio Frank, Jodie and John would make. The punters would love it – and I think the players would, too.”
Leaving Aston Villa
Terry is a Chelsea legend and is hugely popular among the fans at Stamford Bridge, but it is hard to see the former England international central defender leave Villa this summer.
The Englishman is doing well in his role as the Villa assistant manager and working under Dean Smith.
Spending another year or two at Villa will help Terry learn more about management, and perhaps he could then take charge of a club himself.
