Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers won against Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox in the Europa League qualifier.

Former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United forward Alan Brazil said on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, June 30, 2017) that it would be a disaster for Rangers if they fail to progress to the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

Rangers faced Luxembourg side Progres Niederkorn at Ibrox in the first leg of the Europa League first qualifying round on Thursday evening.

Pedro Caixinha’s side won the match 1-0, thanks to Kenny Miller’s goal in the 37th minute. The performance of the Gers, though, was disappointing and left much to be desired.

Former Tottenham and United forward Brazil, who is a Celtic fan, believes that if Rangers fail to get past the first qualifying round, then it would be a disaster for them.

“This Rangers score, 1-0, qualifier, they could go out, you know,” said Brazil on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (broadcast from 6am, June 30, 2017).

“That would be a disaster, absolute disaster. At Ibrox, you would expect them to get two or three at least.”

Rangers have a good team, and the Ibrox faithful should be confident of the side at least drawing the second leg against Progres Niederkorn away from home.

It would be a massive disappointment if the Gers fail to get through to the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
