Alan Brazil concerned over Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino’s comments about Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is attracting a whole host of admiring glances.

Alan Brazil has told the TalkSPORT Breakfast Show, which was broadcast on 9th January, that he is becoming worried by Mauricio Pochettino’s comments about Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Pochettino was once again asked about Kane’s future recently, and he admitted that he could not force the striker to stay to the London Evening Stadium.

The Argentine boss said: “If another club pays the type of money they pay, like it was with Barcelona and Liverpool, how you stop [the player from leaving]. Look, I hear what clubs say and it is so difficult, it is so difficult our job.”

Kane is thought to be in line to earn a pay rise at Spurs, to respect his increasing standing in the game.

Kane has become one of the most feared strikers in world football, and Tottenham are now thought to be prepared to break their wage ceiling in an attempt to keep hold of the England forward.

But Brazil is starting to fear that Pochettino’s comments suggest that Kane could be off, unless action is taken quickly.

“It’s beginning to worry me this. Pochettino’s talking about him a lot,” Brazil said. “He’s almost saying to the board ‘hurry up, hurry up’.”

Kane, himself, has always stated that he wants to remain at Tottenham, and has not suggested that a move is on his mind.

However, Spurs are likely to have to win trophies to keep a striker of Kane’s stature satisfied.

Kane scored his first two goals of 2018 in the FA Cup at the weekend, as he struck a brace past League One side AFC Wimbledon.
