Celtic boss Rodgers has been linked with the Leicester City job as pressure mounts on Claude Puel.

Alan Brazil has claimed on his TalkSPORT breakfast show that Rangers and Steven Gerrard could play a part in tempting Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers to join Leicester City.
Rodgers has once again been linked with the Leicester manager’s role, as pressure continues to mount on Foxes boss Claude Puel after Leicester were knocked out of the FA Cup by Newport County – and then lost at home to Southampton.
Leicester fans have increased the pressure on Puel, despite the Foxes beating Premier League champions Manchester City, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and Everton on Merseyside in their last three fixtures.
The Sun reported on Wednesday morning that Leicester were ‘lining-up’ Rodgers to replace Puel, and former Celtic player Brazil reckons Gerrard’s impressive start to life at Ibrox could have a part to play in Rodgers’ decision.
“With all due to respect to Celtic, my team, I think he [Rodgers] would earn more if he want to Leicester,” Brazil said. “Maybe Brendan feels, can I go on and do 10 in a row? Steven Gerrard is making inroads into that.
“They [Rangers] beat Celtic in the last Old Firm game, he’s brought some quality on loan to Rangers. He’s got unfinished business in the Premier League – he was unlucky not to win the Premier League with Liverpool.
“Does he maybe feel he can make Leicester a top six, top seven club? He does love Celtic.”

Celtic remain at the top of the Scottish Premiership table despite losing to Rangers on December 29, which saw the Gers climb onto level points with the Hoops – though Celtic have a better goal difference and a game in hand.
Both Rangers and Celtic are back in action after three weeks off, with the Gers travelling to Cowdenbeath on Friday night before Celtic host Airdrieonians on Saturday evening in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup.
It remains to be seen if Rodgers will be in charge for that game, though the ex-Liverpool boss does have a contract at Celtic until the summer of 2021.
