Al-Hasawi and Lansbury take to Twitter, outline ‘main goal’ for next season

The Nottingham Forest owner and midfielder took to social media.

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi has taken to Twitter to reflect on a disappointing Championship season.

After Stuart Pearce failed to succeed at the City Ground, Al-Hasawi reluctantly replaced the club icon with Dougie Freedman and Forest’s campaign revitalised.

Freedman’s men ended the season on a bad note, however, with a poor run of results.

And Al-Hasawi is hoping for better results next season. He thanked the fans for their support – as well as all the club’s staff on social media and outlined Nottingham Forest’s ‘main goal’ for next term: keeping the supporters happy.

Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury also took to Twitter with a similar sentiment on Sunday night.

Indeed, the Forest mainstay thanked supporters for all their support home and away and admitted it is a ‘shame’ the club aren’t where they want to be.

Like Al-Hasawi, however, Lansbury promised more next year.

Forest finished their Championship campaign in 14th place in the table – a good 19 points off the play-off places.
