Adebayo Akinfenwa has proven his love for Liverpool.
The Reds were crowned champions of England for the first time in 30 years this week.
Liverpool, the city, has been awash with celebrations in recent days after Jurgen Klopp masterminded a first-ever Premeir League title.
Given the club’s stature, pedigree and history, 30 years is a staggering amount of time to go without winning the title. In short, they’re huge.
And speaking of being absolutely massive, Akinfenwa has happily incurred a financial penalty to show his support.
The 38-year-old striker, nicknamed The Beast, wore a Liverpool shirt to Wycombe Wanderers training on Saturday and was fined by manager Gareth Ainsworth.
The London-born attacker uploaded a video on his Instagram stories sitting in Wanderers’ training complex.
Akinfenwa can be heard saying into the camera, ‘Happily take the fine’ and ‘I’ve already paid my gaffer – he knows’.
Back in 2015, while playing for AFC Wimbledon, Akinfenwa scored against his boyhood club during an FA Cup clash, though the Merseyside giants – then under Brendan Rodgers – wound up winning 2-1.
