Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with Nicolas Tagliafico, along with La Liga powerhouses Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

Ajax defender Nicolas Tagliafico has admitted that he feels privileged to be linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs with Arsenal among those interested in the Argentina international, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Tagliafico might have been overshadowed by the likes of Dusan Tadic, Frenkie De Jong and Hakim Ziyech as Ajax raced into the quarter-finals of the Champions League, famously beating Real Madrid 4-1 at the Bernabau along the way, but his importance to the side cannot be underestimated.
A combative and classy operator at left-back, the former Independiente enforcer is one of the first names on Erik Ten Haag’s team sheet and has caught the eye of clubs in England and Spain as a result.
Mundo Deportivo claims that Arsenal are battling Atletico Madrid and Barcelona for the South American’s signature. And while Tagliafico is happy at Ajax, he is thrilled to see his efforts being recognised.
“It’s very nice to hear talk about me because that means that things are going well,” Tagliafico said.
“But I only focus on the present.

“We are privileged when playing football, our work is something that fascinates us and we have to enjoy it. I am enjoying the present with the national team, with my club and I cannot think about what is coming.”
Tagliafico could replace Nacho Monreal at The Emirates with the long-serving Spaniard expecting to leave Arsenal when his contract expires in July.
Liverpool have also been linked via Don Balon with Ajax apparently demanding £18 million.
