Nottingham Forest boss Aitor Karanka has suggested that his side’s victory against Sheffield Wednesday last night was well deserved.

Forest had been winless in four league matches going into their game with Wednesday last night, despite dominating some of the matches they had played.

The Reds had failed to show enough of a ruthless streak in many of their most recent matches, but they put Wednesday to the sword last night.

Forest picked up a 2-1 victory in the contest, to boost the spirits around the City Ground.

And Karanka was clearly happy with his players’ work, after he sent a message out on Twitter.

Forest took the lead against Wednesday through Lewis Grabban and then Joao Carvalho doubled the lead.

The Owls did pull a goal back late on, but it was not enough to deny Forest the victory.

Karanka’s side are now in 11th place in the Championship table, with their next match coming against Rotherham United.
