Nottingham Forest beat Barnsley 3-0 at the City Ground last night.

Aitor Karanka has admitted that he has a bitter taste in his mouth after Nottingham Forest’s latest victory, due to an injury sustained by Juan Fuentes.

The defender was stretchered off with a knee injury on debut, and there are fears that he could spend a sizeable amount of time recovering.

And Karanka has wished the left-back well, as he begins his comeback from injury.

Forest’s win over Barnsley was their second in their last three matches, and they were very accomplished in picking up the three points.

The Reds took the lead through Lee Tomlin in the first half, and they never looked back after.

Ben Brereton added Forest’s second, before Apostolos Vellios hit a third to complete the scoring.

Forest are now in 17th place with just two games remaining this season.

The Reds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Bristol City.
