Nottingham Forest beat Newcastle United 3-1 in the Carabao Cup last night.

Bridcutt was given a rare start in central midfield for Forest last night, and he impressed.
The Reds pulled off an upset, as they overcame Newcastle with a very impressive performance.
And Bridcutt may have given Karanka a selection headache, ahead of Forest’s game against Brentford at the weekend.
The Spanish boss said: “Everybody needs to understand that it is not going to be easy for me [picking a team on Saturday].
“The performance of Bridcutt was amazing, a player who hasn’t played one game and who hasn’t been in the team and when he gets the first chance to play he did his best.
“He is training every day and that is the spirit I want in the team.”

Forest took the lead against Newcastle early on when Daryl Murphy headed home a Sam Byram cross and they held on to that until the last minutes.
Salomon Rondon hit an equaliser for Newcastle in stoppage time, but in a crazy final few minutes, Forest then hit another two goals.
Karanka’s side were put back into the lead when Matty Cash drove the ball home from inside the box, and Gil Dias completed the scoring with a fine chip.
Forest are still unbeaten in all competitions as things stand, and have made an encouraging start to the campaign.
