Everton’s Ademola Lookman has made six appearances at Goodison Park so far this season.
Lookman was linked with a move to Red Bull Leipzig in the summer, and it was thought that he wanted the switch to Germany.
However, the youngster was kept around by Everton, and Boothroyd suggests that he is happy at Goodison Park again now.
He said: “He got himself into a state over summer when he didn’t know where he would be playing or if he would be moving or not. Now he has just got his head around the fact that wherever it is he is playing, he has to play well.
“He has told himself “I just have to focus on me” which is right. When you look at Dominic Solanke, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Tammy Abraham, Reiss Nelson, Ryan Sessegnon and Ademola, we have some real attacking talent.”
Lookman is regarded as one of Everton’s brightest prospects, so losing him would have been a real blow.
But it seems that the attacker is far more settled on Merseyside now, and Marco Silva has proven willing to give him game time.
Lookman has made six appearances for Everton to date, and is now pushing for a start.
The 21-year-old has caught the eye as an impact substitute, and could be given a chance to feature for 90 minutes soon.
