Sunderland winger Aiden McGeady has commented on life in League One.

Sunderland winger Aiden McGeady has told Sky Sports that he feels League One has been much more difficult than he expected.
The Black Cats suffered a second-straight relegation last season, dropping out of the Championship under Chris Coleman.
Jack Ross has rebuilt the club, turning Sunderland into League One promotion candidates having brought in a whole raft of players to overhaul the squad.
Yet one player who played for Sunderland last season and chose to stay at the Stadium of Light is winger McGeady, who has starred in League One.
The Irishman was named in the League One Team of the Year on Tuesday, having starred this season with 11 goals and six assists in 33 games.
If Sunderland are to win promotion, then McGeady will be key to their success, and he has now commented on his first ever season in League One.

McGeady has revealed that people were telling him that League One was going to be ‘easy’, but he has actually found it difficult, because of the physicality, pitches and tough away games.
“A lot of people were telling me that League One would be easy,” said McGeady. “I’ll be honest, it’s not been easy at all, it’s been difficult. I suppose there is a bit of a difference in terms of the quality on the ball but it’s still very physical and a lot of the teams still have good players.”
“There have been a lot of tough games away from home, in particular. The pitches aren’t as good as what you are used to so it’s been a bit of a battle. In the position I play you always get kicks but that’s not surprised me because I never expected it to be a walk in the park,” he added.
