Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers have been somewhat hit and miss under Steven Gerrard so far, overall.

Aiden McGeady has told The Record that Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has a long way to go before he is considered a success in Glasgow.
Gerrard has proven a hugely popular managerial appointment with Rangers fans, since replacing Graeme Murty in May.
By virtue of the fact that the Gers are top of their Europa League group after three games played – and ahead of Spanish outfit Villarreal – you could argue that the 38-year-old has done a cracking job so far.
Their progress in Europe is made more impressive by the fact that Gerrard guided them through four qualification ties, with the Blues going out after the first preliminary tie against Progres Niederkorn under Pedro Caixinha back in 2017.
As impressive as Rangers have been on the continent, it’s been a different story in Scotland.
Gerrard’s side have lost three Premiership games already and have been hit and miss domestically, having also lost a League Cup semi-final against Aberdeen at Hampden Park last month.
McGeady, who spent six years in Celtic’s senior side, admits that although the former Liverpool legend has the qualities to be a managerial hit, it’s too early to get carried away.
“Steven Gerrard was a terrific player and now he decided to test himself as a manager. And he’s started this season well, by leading Rangers into the Group Stages of the Europa League,” he told The Record.
“Steven has the making to become a top coach, but it will take time before you can judge his success.”
