Aiden McGeady appears to have no future at Everton, after spending this season out on loan at Preston North End.
Aiden McGeady has told the Lancashire Evening Post that he is in a strong position, ahead of transfer negotiations with Everton in the summer.
McGeady has confirmed once again that he wants to leave Everton in the coming months, with Preston North End his preferred choice of destination.
The Republic of Ireland international has been on loan at Deepdale all season, with his performances being highly impressive.

McGeady won Preston’s player of the season vote, but appears to have no future at Everton under Ronald Koeman.
And the 31-year-old has confirmed that an exit for Goodison Park would suit him this summer.
“I’ve said it before, I would like to stay here,” McGeady admitted.
“Ultimately, I’m probably not going to have the final say but I’m in a strong position with Everton because I know they don’t want me.
“Whether it is going to be another loan or Everton want to sell me, I don’t really know.

“I will probably find that out in the summer. I would like to come back to Preston – if it was between here and another team who were going to pay me slightly more money, I would rather come here.”
McGeady has made 33 appearances for Preston in the Championship this season, scoring eight goals and claiming nine assists.
The skilful winger has failed to impress at Everton in recent times though, and his exit has been on the cards for some time.
The Toffees are unlikely to find it difficult to offload McGeady, after his highly impressive season with Preston this campaign.
