The West Bromwich Albion defender was involved for Egypt last night and many of The Hawthorns faithful cannot wait for his Baggies return.

West Bromwich Albion and Egypt defender Ahmed Hegazi has taken to Twitter with a heartfelt message for his fans following his comeback from injury last night.
The Baggies ace completed 90 minutes and helped keep a clean sheet as he helped the Pharaohs to a 1-0 friendly victory over Botswana at the Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria.
Hegazi was sidelined in July as an ongoing ankle issue that was “managed” throughout 2018-19 required surgery, West Brom head of sports science & medicine Andrew Leaver confirmed in the summer.
Originally set a provisional return date of September, the 28-year-old’s successful return to action for Egypt bodes well as club football resumes this weekend, with West Brom hoping to build on their great start to the Championship campaign.
Here is what Hegazi wrote on Twitter, plus some reaction from The Hawthorns faithful:
West Brom return to Championship action this weekend as Slaven Bilic and co face Middlesbrough away on Saturday.
