Ahmed Elmohamady is close to securing Hull City exit.
Hull City’s Ahmed Elmohamady looks dejected after being sent off
Ahmed Elmohamady is all set to leave Hull City this summer.
The Egyptian international is one of City’s longest serving player, but his stay at the club could be coming to an end.
His agent has revealed that the winger is close to securing a move away from the KCOM Stadium this summer.
Following City’s relegation from the Premier League, the Tigers are powerless to keep hold of their star players.
Elmohamady could be the next out of the exit door. Nader Shawky, the player’s agent, has revealed that they are negotiating a deal for the player with an English club.
“Elmohamady will leave Hull City to a club that is in England and not abroad,” said his agent, as quoted by the Hull Daily Mail. “We are now amid negotiations and everything is going well so far.”
New Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce during the press conference
Aston Villa should make a move for Elmohamady. Steve Bruce is a big fan of the player, and the duo could be reunited for the third time with Aston Villa.
The 29-year-old is primarily a right back, but he is versatile enough to play as an attacking right winger.
Possessing an excellent passing and crossing ability, he was one of the few players to emerge from Hull City’s dull 2016/17 campaign with reputation enhanced.
While it makes sense for him to move to a Premier League club, he could still thrive in the division below. The prospect of working with Bruce again could tempt him to move to Villa Park this summer.
