Sergio Aguero has given Manchester City a massive Christmas boost by revealing that his recovery from injury is ahead of schedule.
Reports suggest that Manchester City striking star Sergio Aguero could return from injury much quicker than expected.
Aguero is City’s top scorer with 19 goals to his name this season but he has been out for three weeks since he suffered ligament damage in his left knee.
While Manuel Pellegrini will try and avoid rushing Aguero back into action when he isn’t fully fit, the marksman’s return would be a massive relief with City facing a striking shortage.
Edin Dzeko currently has a calf injury and won’t feature before mid-January and Stevan Jovetic continues to struggle with a recurring hamstring problem.
The main target had always been to get Aguero firing on all cylinders before City’s crunch match against Chelsea on January 31 and that now seems to be more than realistic.
Aguero posted a heartening picture for fans of him working out in the gym with a positive message and it seems like 2015 could start sooner for him than previously feared.
