Tottenham appear to have missed out on reported transfer target Wilmar Barrios, for this transfer window at least.

It appears Wilmar Barrios will not be transferring to Tottenham Hotspur this transfer window after he reached an agreement with his current club Boca Juniors.
It means Boca will be able to retain Barrios’ services for the Copa Libertadores later this year.
There is hope for Tottenham though, with a very affordable release clause added into his contract.
Barrios’ clause has been increased from 16 million Euros to 23 million Euros, which may seem like good news for Boca, but it really should not deter interested clubs in January.

Boca have promised Barrios that they will not stand in his way if any other acceptable offers are submitted in 2019 below the clause, pledging to ‘analyse’ proposals.
Tottenham were said to be keen to sign the Colombia international as a replacement for Mousa Dembele, but for now the Belgian remains on their books.
A January move for Barrios remains a possibility and his price remains well within reach.
