According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolves are getting closer to finding a replacement for Nuno Espirito Santo as Bruno Lage’s arrival nears.
The Italian journalist wrote that an agreement between Wolves and the 45-year-old is getting closer.
Romano claimed that talks began last week with the former Benfica manager, and only a few final details need to be ironed out at this stage.
FC Porto manager Sérgio Conceição has also been linked with the vacancy at Molineux.
However, Romano added that the 46-year-old was never a serious option, and he is now on Napoli’s list to replace Gennaro Gattuso.
It was only announced that Nuno was leaving Wolves on May 21st.
For Wolves to already have a replacement close to signing just four days after is mightily impressive.

Fosun have wasted absolutely no time in finding a new manager, which should hopefully set them up for a productive summer.
With a new manager in place before the transfer window opens on June 9th, Wolves can sit down with Lage and identify some targets.
In the Portuguese coach, Wolves have found an interesting option.

Lage has won the Liga NOS title, and also the Portuguese Super Cup, despite having little experience managing first-team players.
The ex-Benfica boss has spent time with Benfica’s B team, while he was also an Assistant Manager at Sheffield Wednesday and Swansea.
It will certainly be interesting to see how he copes in the Premier League, in what will arguably be the biggest job of his career so far.
