Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been linked with Ruben Neves, but it seems that the Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder wants to move to Barcelona.
The Sun on Sunday (19/3; page 64) have reported that Arsenal are among the clubs who are keen on signing Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Neves, described as “a top, top player” and “sensational” by former Manchester United defender Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022).
Sport reported earlier this month that Barcelona are keen on signing Neves.
The Spanish publication claimed that Wolves are ready to sell the 26-year-old Portugal international midfielder for €50 million (£44 million).
Liverpool have also been linked.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that Neves has agreed personal terms with Barcelona over a long-term contract.
Romano has added that the Portuguese star will wait for Barcelona.
Ruben Neves stance on Barcelona blow for Arsenal

And this is a blow for Arsenal.
Now, of course, Arsenal are a big club, but Barcelona are massive who have won the La Liga title this season.
The chance to play for Barcelona does not often come, and we can understand why Neves would wait for the former UEFA Champions League winners.
However, if Barcelona are unable to fund a move for Neves, then Arsenal could be able to make a deal happen later in the summer transfer window.
