José Enrique has taken to Twitter to make an interesting claim about Newcastle maestro Bruno Guimaraes.
What’s the story?
Well, EA Sports have released their FIFA 22 Premier League Team of the Season, and there are no Newcastle players included.
That is understandable, as the Magpies stunk out the Premier League for most of the campaign under Steve Bruce.
However, Enrique believes Bruno Guimaraes should’ve been involved – instead of Bruno Fernandes – even though he only arrived on Tyneside a few months ago.
You can see what the Spaniard wrote on Twitter below.
The Brazilian was signed by Eddie Howe in a £40m deal on January 30th, and has only made 14 Premier League appearances so far.
In those outings, the 24-year-old has scored four goals, while also providing one assist.
It’s too soon for Newcastle and Bruno Guimaraes

In our view, there’s no way Bruno Guimaraes should’ve been included in the FIFA 22 Team of the Season, despite his brilliance.
There is no denying that the South American has been one of the most impressive performers in England since his January arrival.
However, to be named in the Team of the Season, we strongly believe you have to be involved in the entire campaign.
No matter how well they play, mid-season arrivals should not be considered.

If it’s any consolation, we believe he could win the Goal of the Season for his stunning backheeled volley against Southampton, which secured a 2-1 win.
Next season, we’re almost certain that Bruno Guimaraes will be involved in the Team of the Season if he continues to play like he currently is.
At this rate, he is on course to hit double figures for goals from midfield in the Premier League next season, which would surely guarantee him a spot in the Team of the Season.
Only time will tell if he makes it.
