Tottenham Hotspur may not have the budget for huge signings this summer, but they have today secured their first new arrival.
A midfielder to make an impact in Jose Mourinho’s side will surely be a priority, and they’ve also landed one for the future.
Spurs have pounced to land Wigan Athletic midfielder Alfie Devine today, with the Latics confirming the move.
Devine, 15, is an England Under-16 international, and he played against Tottenham in the FA Youth Cup earlier this year.
The former Liverpool youngster is now being tipped for a huge future, and Tottenham may have landed themselves a bargain.
Wigan’s terrible financial situation means that they are having to sell on players to raise funds, and Spurs have swooped for Devine.

With Tottenham’s first signing now completed, Devine’s representation – INS Management – have taken to Instagram to show off the move.
They posted a photo of Devine at Hotspur Way, congratulating their young client on making his big move.
