Tottenham Hotspur defender Radu Dragusin is performing well in training as he looks to impress Ange Postecoglou.

That is according to Dragusin’s agent Florin Manea, who has been speaking to Fanatik over in Romania.

Dragusin was thrust into action on Sunday as Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven was taken off injured against Aston Villa.

On came Dragusin to partner Cristian Romero, and they were able to secure a clean sheet in a 4-0 Tottenham victory.

This was an outstanding performance from Tottenham and seeing Dragusin shine only made the win even sweeter…

Radu Dragusin agent comments

Dragusin equipped himself well and has received praise since Sunday’s win.

Boss Ange Postecoglou was impressed with Dragusin and club legend Clive Allen has branded him ‘fabulous’.

Agent Florin Manea has now offered a comment, continuing to speak regularly in the Romanian press.

Tottenham fans have become all too familiar with seeing Manea’s name around and he has now offered more comments about Dragusin.

Manea claims to have been talking to somebody inside Tottenham and they have suggested that Dragusin is training ‘exceptionally’ at the moment.

Manea isn’t surprised at all, believing that Dragusin treats training just like matches and that mentality has brought him to the Premier League.

“I was talking to someone at the club and he told me that he is training exceptionally well. You have nothing to reproach them with. Training is like a match for Radu. This is what we have been aiming for for many years. How you train, how you play,” he added.

Tottenham pulled off quite the coup by beating Bayern Munich to Dragusin’s signing in January.

Dragusin has been forced to remain patient though, sitting behind Romero and Van de Ven in Tottenham’s pecking order.

Van de Ven may now face a period on the sidelines and Dragusin’s display against Aston Villa suggested that he is ready to step up if needed.

Romero, Van de Ven and Dragusin give Tottenham outstanding depth at the back and all three still have so much potential, so the future looks bright for the Spurs back line.
