Mesut Ozil’s agent has told ESPN what five other players at Arsenal have said to him about the attacking midfielder.
Dr. Erkut Sogut has said that he has spoken to five players at the North London club, and they have all said that Ozil has trained well.
The former Real Madrid star’s agent has added that the Arsenal players he has spoken to have said that they cannot understand why the 32-year-old has been left out of the Gunners’ Premier League and Europa League squads.
Sogut told ESPN: “Everyone says he’s training well. Per Mertesacker [Arsenal defender, 2011-18 and now a coach at the club’s academy] said this publicly.
“I spoke with at least five teammates who say he is training great. They say Mesut is one of their best players, and they cannot understand why he is left out. So it can’t be the training — if it is not the pitch, what are the footballing reasons?”

Is it all over for Mesut Ozil at Arsenal?
With Ozil out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, it does seem that the German attacking midfielder has already played his final game for the Gunners.
The 32-year-old is a very creative player, but the way Arteta likes his team to play – attacking, pressing, running back, trying to claim the ball after losing it, and always on the go – may not be suit the former Madrid star’s game.
Perhaps Arsenal will try to offload the 32-year-old in the January transfer window.
