Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon is prioritising a move to the Premier League amid reported interest from the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, agent Ronen Katsav tells Sport 5.

In December, Shakhtar’s CEO claimed that the Israel international was set to sign a new contract at the Ukrainian giants. As it stands, however, Solomon is yet to put pen to paper.

And, with his current deal expiring in 2023, Shakhtar may be forced to consider offers for a snake-hipped winger with shades of a young Eden Hazard.

According to TEAMtalk, Solomon has admirers at Tottenham, Aston Villa and at a Newcastle United side capable of blowing their top-flight rivals out of the water thanks to their ambitious billionaire owners.

It seems unlikely at this stage that Aston Villa will firm up their interest, however, following the arrival of Philippe Coutinho on loan from Barcelona.

Will Manor Solomon leave Ukraine for the Premier League?

“The fact that Manor has not signed a new contract at Shakhtar says everything about his future,” says Katsav.

“The priority is the English or Spanish league. Manor is only 22 years old and has a long way to go.”

Arsenal reportedly submitted a £17 million bid for Solomon last summer (SportArena). Though Gabriel Martinelli’s recent revival could slam the door shut on another silky left-winger with an eye for goal.

Solomon scored 11 times in all competitions last season, including two against Real Madrid in the Champions League group-stages.

The 22-year-old did admit recently that he plans to leave Shakhtar sooner rather than later. A big-money departure would see him follow in the footsteps of Fred, Fernandinho, Douglas Costa, Willian and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Solomon is focusing on a June departure rather than a January one, however. Even if he is reported to have told his representatives to find him a new home in the Premier League.

One of the biggest talents in Ukrainian football has already arrived in England this month. Vitaliy Mykolenko joined Everton from Dynamo Kiev in a deal worth £18 million.
