The agent of the Tottenham player has stated that the player, as well as manager Mauricio Pochettino, are delighted after the Dane signed a new deal
Speaking to Danish outlet BT, the agent of Christian Eriksen, Martin Schoots, has revealed that everyone involved with Tottenham Hotspur is very happy after the player put pen to paper on a new contract at White Hart Lane.
Eriksen joined Tottenham Hotspur from Ajax Amsterdam back in 2013 for a fee believed to be around £11 million and it has to be said that the Danish international has proven to be a top-quality signing for Spurs.
Over the course of the last three seasons, Eriksen has managed to establish himself as a mainstay in the Tottenham lineup and the 24-year-old is now considered as one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe.
Given his exploits over the last three seasons, it has been no surprise to see a host of clubs courting the services of Eriksen but the midfielder put speculation surrounding his future to rest by recently signing a new four-year contract worth £75,000-per-week following a protracted round of negotiations.
The deal has certainly left the Tottenham faithful extremely happy and now Eriksen’s agent, Martin Schoots, has gone on to reveal that the player as well as manager Mauricio Pochettino are also delighted upon the confirmation of the new contract.
Schoots told Danish outlet BT, “I do not need to comment on the negotiations. Christian is happy, the club is happy and the manager is happy. And after seeing the first reactions on social media, the club’s fans are very happy. So everyone is happy, what more could you ask for?
“Christian is very happy with Tottenham. Both as a player and as a human being with his girlfriend. They moved to a new home a month ago and that does not happen in the middle of the summer transfer window if you are in doubt about whether you are happy to be somewhere.”
