A bid of £24 million could be enough to convince Serie A outfit Torino to cash in on Perr Schuurs amid ongoing interest from Premier League outfit Leicester City, according to Tuttosport.
Whoever said money can’t buy you happiness?
Tell that to the Leicester supporters celebrating wildly on the stroke of half-time at Villa Park; January signing Tete marking an exhilarating debut with a well-taken goal during Saturday’s topsy-turvy 4-2 triumph over Unai Emery’s previously in-form side.

At left-back, new £13 million addition Victor Kristiansen also looked an immediate upgrade on those who came before. And, own goal aside, Harry Souttar impressed for the most part too, using his 6ft 7ins frame to dominate the hosts in the air.
And, come the summer, Leicester could have an all-new centre-half partnership; the Foxes retaining their interest in former Ajax starlet Schuurs.
Torino’s Serie A star Perr Schuurs is a target for Leicester City
According to Tuttosport, Torino want around £24 million for the Netherlands U21 international. A fee Leicester could potentially barter down by offering Dennis Praet – who enjoyed an impressive loan spell with the Granata last season – as a makeweight in negotiations.
The finest centre-half partnerships often possess that balance of poise and physicality. Think Gerard Pique and Carles Puyol. Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic. Schuurs, as stylish and cultured as you’d expect from a graduate of the Ajax academy, could slot in nicely alongside Australian colossus Souttar at the heart of Brendan Rodgers’ revamped backline.
Leicester can expect plenty of competition, however. George Gardi, Schuurs’ agent, admitted before Christmas that some of Europe’s biggest clubs had the Limburg-born 23-year-old on their radar.
“Clubs of the calibre of Tottenham, Liverpool and PSG moved to take the player,” Gardi says. “In addition to Liverpool, Tottenham and PSG, three Italian clubs also wanted Schuurs.
“Thanks to Torino, I am sure Schuurs can become a pillar of the Dutch national team.”
Only Southampton and AFC Bournemouth have conceded more goals in this Premier League season than Leicester’s 37. Caglar Soyuncu is expected to join Atletico Madrid for free in the summer. Soon-to-be 36-year-old Jonny Evans, meanwhile, has endured another injury-hit campaign.
